Maria Angela Astorch (née Maria Ines Jerónima Astorch; 1 September 1592 – 2 December 1665) was a Spanish nun and mystic. Born in Barcelona, she founded the Capuchin Poor Clares of Zaragoza and Murcia. She died in Murcia and was beatified by Pope John Paul II on 23 May 1982.

As a classically trained orator and philosopher, he infused Hellenism into the early Church, establishing the paradigm of Byzantine theologians and church officials.
Gregory made a significant impact on the shape of Trinitarian theology among both Greek and Latin-speaking theologians, and he is remembered as the "Trinitarian Theologian". Much of his theological work continues to influence modern theologians, especially in regard to the relationship among the three Persons of the Trinity. Along with the brothers Basil of Caesarea and Gregory of Nyssa, he is known as one of the

Benoîte Rencurel (1647–1718) was a shepherdess from Saint-Étienne-le-Laus, France who is said to have seen apparitions from the Virgin Mary from 1664 to 1718. Also she is said to have borne stigmata. The apparitions became known as Our Lady of Laus, and the site receives thousands of pilgrim visits a year. On 4 May 2008, Bishop Jean-Michel di Falco of the Diocese of Gap officially recognized the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Benoite Rencurel at the Sanctuary of Laus in the area of Hautes-Alpes, France.

Bernard of Clairvaux, O.Cist. (Latin: Bernardus Claraevallensis; 1090 – 20 August 1153), venerated as Saint Bernard, was an abbot, mystic, co-founder of the Knights Templar, and a major leader in the reform of the Benedictines through the nascent Cistercian Order.
Bernard was sent to found Clairvaux Abbey only a few years after becoming a monk at Cîteaux. In 1128, Bernard attended the Council of Troyes, at which he traced the outlines of the Rule of the Knights Templar, which soon became an ideal of Christian nobility.
On the death of Pope Honorius II in 1130, a schism arose in the church. Bernard was a major proponent of Pope Innocent II, arguing effectively for his legitimacy over the Antipope Anacletus II.
The abbot advocated crusades in general and convinced many to participate in the unsuccessful Second Crusade, notably through a famous sermon at Vézelay (1146).
Bernard was canonized just 21 years after his death by Pope Alexander III. In 1830, Pope Pius VIII declared him a Doctor

Athanasius I of Alexandria (c. 296–298 – 2 May 373), also called Athanasius the Great, Athanasius the Confessor, or, among Coptic Christians, Athanasius the Apostolic, was a Christian theologian and the 20th patriarch of Alexandria (as Athanasius I). His intermittent episcopacy spanned 45 years (c. 8 June 328 – 2 May 373), of which over 17 encompassed five exiles, when he was replaced on the order of four different Roman emperors. Athanasius was a Church Father, the chief proponent of Trinitarianism against Arianism, and a noted Egyptian Christian leader of the fourth century.
Conflict with Arius and Arianism, as well as with successive Roman emperors, shaped Athanasius' career. In 325, at age 27, Athanasius began his leading role against the Arians as a deacon and assistant to Bishop Alexander of Alexandria during the First Council of Nicaea. Zefirino Agostini (24 September 1813 - 6 April 1896) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest that served in his hometown of Verona to perform his pastoral duties. He established two religious congregations in his lifetime being the Pious Union of Sisters Devoted to Saint Angela Merici and the Ursuline Sisters of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate.
Agostini was beatified on 25 October 1998.

The Virgin of Almudena (Virgen de la Almudena) is  a medieval statue of the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ. The Virgin Mary is regarded as a patroness of Madrid, Spain, under this title.
The Cathedral of Madrid is dedicated to the Virgin under this title, and the feast day, 9 November, is a major holiday in Madrid. There are replicas that are used in processions, as well as more recent versions of the statue at various places.
The original statue has been lost to history though. The present one dates to the 16th. Art historians attribute the statue now in the cathedral to the Netherlandish sculptor, Diego Copín de Holanda, who worked in Spain, around 1500. Its name derives from the Arabic term Al-Mudayna (المدينة), "the citadel."

Before the victory parade celebrating their performance in the 21-22 Champions League, Real Madrid presented the Champions League trophy before the statue in the cathedral.

The Virgen de Cotoca (literal translation:  Virgin of Cotoca; figurative translation:  Our Lady of Cotoca; variant:  Blessed Virgin of Cotoco) is the patroness saint for the Department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia.  Her image is located in a shrine built in her honor and located in the City of Cotoca in the Department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia.  The Virgin of Cotoca is venerated by thousands of Bolivians who ask for her intercession for blessings and other petitions.
There is one feast day dedicated to the Virgin of Cotoca, but it is celebrated over the course of 8 days.  The celebration begins 8 December, which is also the feast of the Immaculate Conception celebrated by Roman Catholics.  The celebration of the Virgin of Cotoca ends on 15 December.  Throughout the 8 days, but primarily on the first and 8th day, thousands of devoted Bolivians make pilgrimages to the shrine where the image is located in Cotoca.

Velankanni (Vēḷāṅkaṇṇi), is a Special Grade Panchayat Town in Nagapattinam district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It lies on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal, 350 km south of Chennai (Madras), 12 km south of Nagapattinam, and 33 km southeast of Thiruvarur.
A canal built to link this town with Vedaranyam still lies to the west. The Vellayar, a minor branch of the Cauvery River, runs south of the town and discharges into the sea. The town was among the worst hit by the tsunami caused by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.
The town is home to one of the most visited Latin Catholic shrines called the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health.

Tiburcio Arnaiz Muñoz (11 August 1865 - 18 July 1926) was a Spanish Roman Catholic priest and a professed member of the Jesuits. He was also the co-founder of the Missionaries of the Rural Parishes (1922) and decided to establish it to further his own pastoral goals of aiding the poor with a particular emphasis on workers and people living in those rural areas across the nation. His ecclesial career was spent in two parishes for just over a decade, before he entered the Jesuit novitiate. He became known for his tender care of all people.
His canonization cause opened under Pope John Paul II on 5 December 1989 and he became titled as a Servant of God while Pope Francis named him as venerable after confirming his heroic virtue on 10 October 2016. Francis confirmed a miracle attributed to him on 18 December 2017 and cleared him for beatification. The beatification was celebrated on 20 October 2018.

The icon was painted in 1157 at the request of Grand Prince Andrew Bogolubsky, in commemoration of an appearance to him by the Mother of God.

Theodore of Pherme was an Egyptian Christian monk who lived in the desert of Scetes in Lower Egypt during the 4th century. He was one of the Desert Fathers.
Theodore was a monk at Scetis and may have been trained by Macarius the Great and Pambo. Once he was deaconized but refused the position out of humility, and wanted to live in solitude instead. Theodore later moved to Pherme after Scetis was sacked by barbarians in 408 A.D.
